Family Development Department and Branches
Family cohesion and stability is our mission. Strong family foundations built on values is our responsibility. Active family participation in societal development is our priority. Our operations are founded on best standards and practices, and run by qualified professional competencies.
Family Development Department & Branches (FDD) was established in 2000 as one of the institutions under the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah. The Center’s focus is the family; preserving the family unit and its identity, supporting the value system that guides it, deepening familial bonds, and strengthening family cohesion.
Cultural Office
The Office seeks to consolidate the cultural aspect in order to achieve the integration of family-oriented services, which are provided by all SCFA Departments.

Health Promotion Department
The Health Promotion Department was founded in 2010 to help empower the family and Sharjah community to have integrated health awareness. To that end, the Department strives to create an effective community environment guided by foundations of healthy living, build and strengthen supportive partnerships, and establish a comprehensive and accessible knowledge base to support health trends, and build community-based entities filled with distinguished national competencies.

Child Safety Department
In 2018, Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of the Sharjah Supreme Council for Family Affairs, issued a decision to establish the “Child Safety Department” which works towards reinforcing the goals and vision of the Child Safety Campaign – one of the Sharjah Supreme Council for Family Affairs initiatives that was launched in 2011.
